What to do when you run out of space on an ornate book cover…

This building was formerly a courthouse, and is now in the process of being renovated.

This building caught my eye: a lone brownstone with a community garden on one side and an empty lot on the other. Turns out it belongs to The Brotherhood/Sister Sol, an organization that helps underprivileged kids in Harlem. And according to their website, that lot won’t be empty for long… they’re planning to expand into a new green building on that site that will wrap around the brownstone.
